Chlorination

Chlorination Process
Once pressure testing is completed, the watermain is filled with water then chlorine is added and left for 24 hours. The chlorinated water is flushed until the residual chlorine left is within specifications. Next, a water sample is taken and delivered to a laboratory for bacteriological testing. If the water sample passes this test, the watermain is safe to be put back into service. Our report will include the laboratory results. You can rely on us.
